NFL Mock Draft TOP 10
April 4, 2017
With the inevitable rising and falling stocks of prospects, having the perfect mock draft is near impossible. With the combine behind us and Pro Days coming to a close, it is becoming clearer as to which prospects have emerged as top picks. As we near Draft Day, more information is released from NFL coaches and GMs about the available prospects. It is hard to tell which information is accurate and honest or just smoke hiding a team’s true intentions with their picks. This mock draft is my effort to see through the smoke and is in my opinion how the top picks will go down.
- Cleveland Browns (Needs: Everything) Pick: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M Myles Garrett is the most talented prospect in this draft class. Cleveland’s top need might be quarterback, but with so many holes on the team Garrett cannot be passed up on.
- San Francisco 49ers (Needs: Almost Everything) Pick: Solomon Thomas, DT, Stanford
- Chicago Bears (Needs: QB, DB) Pick: Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama
- Jacksonville Jaguars (Needs: OT, DL) Pick: Jamal Adams, S, LSU
- Tennessee Titans (Needs: CB, TE) Pick: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio St.
- New York Jets (Needs: QB, CB) Pick: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
Howard’s potential is ridiculous. He is a freak of nature who handles himself as if he were a veteran and will immediately help the Jets passing game as a threat down the middle. Howard will be an offensive threat to build around for years to come in New York..
7. San Diego Chargers (Needs: OT, WR) Pick: Marshon Lattimore,CB, Ohio St.
8. Carolina Panthers (Needs: DE, RB) Pick: Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama
Foster is straight up a savage at the linebacker position. With Thomas Davis turning 34 in March, the Panthers need to seek out a younger, more explosive counterpart for Luke Kuechly.
9. Cincinnati Bengals (Needs: C, WR) Pick: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
10. Buffalo Bills (Needs: OT, WR) Pick: Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
Watching the success Zeke Elliott had last year helping flip losses into the win column for the Cowboys, the Bills will hope Fournette can do the same with his game changing ability.
