FHS Fall Festival
December 5, 2017
The First Annual Fall Festival at the high school recently took place on October 27th right after school from 2:15PM to 3:45PM. This event was sponsored by several clubs: Environmental Club, Art Honor Society Club, French Honor Society Club, Interactive Club, SADD Club, and Spanish Honor Society Club.
As people came to drop by, the music was blasting, activities were in session, and food and snacks were purchased and sold. Each club had their own little world going around them. In their own sections, the French Honor Society Club offered their own macaroons, SADD Club sold their pumpkin pie, Art Honor Society Club/Environmental Club/Interactive Club encouraged others to paint their little pumpkins. Also, Spanish Honor Society Club sold their chocolate bars and other candies. The best part, however, was the activities, such as hands-free doughnut eating, sack races, hula hoops, and conga lines. What people seemed to enjoy the most was the open mic; people were singing and dancing music to all types of music, including Latin pop songs and country music.
As many students left the festival to catch their late buses or jump in their cars to get home, club members and advisers were left to clean up after the fun. Everyone enjoyed their time at the festival, so it was well worth it!
