Lady Dalers Soccer Finishes Season

Two nights ago, the Lady Dalers unfortunately lost to the Syosset Braves 2-1 in the first round of the playoffs, ending their season. Sophomore Jaden Keener scored the only goal for the Dalers when they were trailing 2-0, trying to mount a comeback at the end of the game, but there was just not enough time. Even though the season did not end the way they had hoped, it was still a great year overall, as they were the 4th ranked team in the conference as the regular season had ended. Adding on to that, there is plenty to look forward to next year as the team will return many starters and other key players to make an impact on the field for the Dalers. Senior Captain Sydney Moore led the way for Farmingdale all year, scoring and assisting on goals in big moments all season long. Moore will be headed to Boston College next fall to play soccer for the Eagles, one of the top teams in the country. Junior Allison Kiernan also played great, keeping the defense locked down and not allowing many shots on her goalie while getting the ball up to the offense. It was a disappointing end to the season, but the future’s bright here at Farmingdale and it would not be surprising if the Dalers were making a run for the County Championship next season.
