Brees is the G.O.A.T.
December 22, 2018
There is controversy over whether or not Drew Brees is the best NFL quarterback in NFL history. Brees has played 13 seasons with the Saints and has not had one bad season yet. A lot of people think that he is the best and the others think differently. People typically rank Brees over Brett Favre.
I believe that Brees is becoming the best quarterback. Brees leads the NFL in passing yards and has surpassed Peyton Manning in passing yards and Brett Favre in completion percentage. Brees has to continue with his current patterns to stay on this path in order to prove to more people that he is the best quarterback. If he continues this pattern, he will beat Peyton Manning in passing touchdowns; Manning has 539 and Brees has 499.
Some people feel that Tom Brady is the best quarterback, and commonly refer to him as the “G.O.A.T.” (greatest of all time) because he has won 5 Super Bowl rings and Drew has only earned one. However, some people do not notice that Brady’s Patriots team has had many hall of fame caliber receivers like Randy Moss and Rob Gronkowski. Manning also had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Drew has never had a receiver make the Pro Bowl. Brees never had the support on his team like the other quarterbacks, yet he is still getting closer to setting these records that will make him the true MVP, the true “goat.”
Drew Brees should be recognized as the best quarterback of all time. Although many people will have their own opinions and debate about their views, when you look at the information statistically, it provides a solid argument for him to be viewed as the best.
