Picture this: 

It’s been 30 years since your favorite franchise has released a sequel to its series and the only other movie under the same name basically bombed both in fan and critic expectations. 

That’s how Ghostbusters fans have been feeling. But alas, as we enter the new year there seems to be paranormal activity rising again. So one question remains: Who ya gonna call?Throughout 2019 and into the new year, it seems as if there have been a lot of nostalgic properties that have been getting rebooted and revamped left and right. It’s like we’re in a complete renaissance of the 80’s pop culture period. Ghostbusters is a 1984 fantasy film that revolves around four scientists who use their combined knowledge of science and the paranormal to take down paranormal threats. Although the concept of the movie is quite childish sounding, it’s very entertaining for all ages.

Now, I know that some remakes have been hit or miss. In a lot of people’s opinions most of these remakes have been very miss. Although there have been some positive reception to these remakes, the reviews will forever be mixed. However, this is not a remake. This is a sequel in the original Ghostbusters duology. The only known synopsis of the film is that when a mother and her two children move into a new home, they end up discovering a close connection to the original Ghostbusters, part of their grandfather’s legacy.

So, the question remains. Who are you gonna call?
