In the NFL the Super Bowl gets closer and the pressure to win games builds up with many teams with the chance to make it to the playoffs.  The Chargers beat the playoff-bound Chiefs 38-21.  Cleveland Browns clinch their first playoff title since 2002.  In the MLB as the offseason goes on, people wonder who will sign where next.  Curt Casali agrees to a $1.5 million deal for 1 year with the San Francisco Giants.  Phil Hughes retires from baseball more than 2 years after his last pitch.  The Miami Marlins made a deal with a LHP Ross Detwiler, C Sandy Leon.
