Jets: Week 3 Recap
Week 3, Jets vs Broncos.
Just when I thought we couldn’t look any worse, we did. This Broncos team has an elite defense with a solid offense. I knew ahead of time our offense would have even more trouble against this Broncos defense, but I was not expecting us to not put a single point on the board. This week there weren’t many positives about this team.
Zach Wilson threw 2 INTs, and our star safety Marcus Maye injured his ankle during the game and is out for 3-4 weeks. Our problems are the same as last week; our offense is holding us back. Only 162 total yards of offense, 119 passing and 43 rushing. As opposed to the Broncos 343 total yards, over half the yards the Jets had.
One positive of this team as of right now is our defense. Our defensive line is proving to be one of the best in the league, our DBs are surprising many Jets fans, especially Michael Carter II, who’s only allowed 50 yards on 11 receptions this season so far. For a 5th round pick, he is proving that he was worth much more in a position of need for the Jets and could be a starter for years to come. We are through three weeks and yet to see the Jets get their first win of the season. I myself hope we can bounce back next week but as of right now, the season is slipping away from the Jets and our playoff hopes grow farther and farther away.
