Jets: Week 11 Recap

Before going into the game against the Dolphins there was a little bit of a surprise. On Wednesday, Coach Robert Saleh said in a press conference that Zach Wilson will NOT be playing this week because he still isn’t 100% coming off his PCL injury. Knowing this, and also Mike White coming off of a horrible start against the Bills throwing four interceptions, the next man up that will be starting: Joe Flacco. Yes, he’s back. After signing with the Jets last season and starting multiple games due to injuries on former Jets QB Sam Darnold, he came back full circle after being traded from the Eagles. Once Sunday came around, there was still some hope due to the Dolphins having some early struggles; then again, our third string QB was playing so that kind of crushed many fans’ hopes for this matchup. However, this game was actually quite close thanks to rookie WR Elijah Moore. Moore racked up 8 receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown and brought in the Offensive Rookie of the Week award for week 11. Joe Flacco also wasn’t bad, completing 24/39 for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns in a somewhat surprising game. Even though the Jets lost, it was a pretty competitive game and our future really showed up today, from our second year safety Ashtyn Davis getting his first career interception, to Elijah Moore’s monster game, and Quinnen Williams posting up double digit tackles (10) on the defensive end. Another highlight about our future is the 2022 Draft. Week 11 hosted yet another Seahawks loss which gave the Jets a higher draft pick. This is definitely a storyline forming as the Jets could possibly have two top ten draft picks. Next week we take on the Houston Texans, the battle of the 2-8 teams with Zach Wilson coming back for sure.
